Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021, as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In this role, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin has a background in the space sector as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she has been covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations for FOX News. The reporter also reported on the 2020 presidential race and efforts by two administrations to combat the coronavirus. She traveled extensively with both the president and vice-president also included an official trip to Afghanistan that she made together with Donald Trump. Prior to joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through the local news channels in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin made use of her experiences behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The company specialized in producing documentary-style films, and became a preferred choice among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds an Bachelor in Science in Journalism that she earned at Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
